

Nancy was married to Alfred McGuckian for 60 years, until his passing in 2020.
They met ice skating on Spa Creek, and together they shared a love of dancing and built a beautiful life centered on family. Their home was filled with music, warmth, laughter, and gracious hospitality.
Nancy was born in 1940 in Frackville, Pennsylvania and is survived by her three children: daughter Amy McGuckian of Annapolis, Maryland; son Allen McGuckian and his wife Kimberly of Annapolis, Maryland, and their children Benjamin McGuckian of Centreville, Maryland; Samuel McGuckian of Apopka, Florida; Matthew McGuckian of Melbourne, Florida; and Allen’s stepdaughters Lauren Millette and Lilly Millette, both of Annapolis, Maryland; and daughter Alicia Jenkins and her husband Bill of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, and their children Caylin Jenkins of Schwenksville, Pennsylvania, and Brendan Jenkins of West Chester, Pennsylvania.
She is also survived by her sister Virginia Roberts of Lewes, Delaware; her nephew Captain Gregory Roberts of California; and her niece Megan Celedonia of Washington State.
Nancy dedicated 34 years of service to Anne Arundel County, where she worked in Planning and Zoning.
Outside of work, Nancy pursued many passions. She loved tennis and traveling, exploring destinations around the world with her dear friend Marilyn. She was an accomplished gardener, and those who admired the stunning gardens at her Eastport home—where she lived for 60 years—were always in awe of her care and talent.
In 1977, Nancy discovered a love for skiing, which became a cherished pastime. She especially treasured ski trips to Vermont with her sister and family.
Nancy was a gracious host who deeply valued time spent with family and friends. She loved cooking and baking and was especially known for her macaroni and cheese, cookies, and cakes.
Christmas was one of Nancy’s favorite holidays, and her celebrations were always joyful, warm, and unforgettable.
Nancy will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday February 14th, 2026 in Antioch Church located at: 1535 Ritchie Hwy Arnold, MD 21012.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, whose compassionate care meant so much to Nancy and her family.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the incredible caregivers who supported Nancy with such kindness and dedication over the past several years.
