

On November 3, 2015 Bob passed away in Annapolis at AAMC with Ruth, his wife of 67 years, and his daughter Karen at his side. He graduated from St. Benedict's Prep. School then served in the US Navy during World War II as a Corpsman. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, he attended Seton Hall University where he earned a B.S. degree in Business Management. For most of his working career he was a partner in Morrison-Johnson, Inc. then Northrup-Johnson, Inc. Earthmoving Contractors. In later years he was employed by Driggs Corporation as Casualty Manager responsible for safety and environmental functions. After retiring Bob enjoyed his time as a volunteer at the National Aquarium and was an active member at the Fleet Reserve in Annapolis where he frequently met with friends. He enjoyed power boating and on weekends often cruised the Chesapeake and anchored out on one of its tributaries. Bob was known for his love of sports (especially basketball and football), solving crossword puzzles, his dry sense of humor and his lively conversations. Bob is survived by his loving wife Ruth, his daughter Karen (William) Johnson Garrett, his cousin Carol Collins and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Annapolis Fleet Reserve Club 100 Compromise St., Annapolis, Md. 21401 on Saturday November 14, 2015 (2-5pm). Due to another event, it is recommended to avoid Rowe Blvd Saturday. Free parking available at the John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester St. Annapolis, MD 21401....2 blocks from the Fleet Reserve. Also there is paid parking available across the street from the Reserve at the Elementary School. First come, first serve. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Aquarium Baltimore.
