

Robert W. Ward Sr. was born January 30, 1943 and grew up in SE Washington. Friends and Family knew him as Bob. He graduated from Anacostia High School in 1961 and went to work for the government in the printing department. Later he went back to school and became a Building Engineer at Crystal City in Arlington, VA. where he retired in 2004 from Consolidated Engineers.
Bob taught Sunday School and became the youngest Deacon at his Church in Washington DC. He spent many hours studying the Word of God and supported various Ministries.
Bob had a lot of interests throughout his life Cars, Motorcycles playing Chess and his favorite shooting Pool. Not to be left out, his love of the Redskins Football Team, Sonny Jurgensen and of course Joe Gibbs.
He enjoyed many Motorcycle trips to Sperryville Va. just to ride the mountains, a cruise to the Bahamas and several trips to Aruba his favorite vacation retreat. (as you can see his picture while there)
Bob is survived by his wife of 22 years Frances, sons Robert W. Ward Jr., Mark J. Ward, 6 grandchildren and cousin William Swann.
