I met Ron early in my career at AACPS.  I had the opportunity to work closely with him when he became my supervisor for a short time.  Ron was always kind and took the time to listen and do anything he could to help.   I remember how much he loved being a grandfather;  when I returned to work after maternity  leave, Ron welcomed me with the words "Just wait till you become a grandma!"

I will always remember Ron fondly—my condolences to his family.

I first met Ron at AACPS wen we were both computer programmers in 1972.
The windows by our desks overlooked Annapolis Harbor and we could easily see the Blue Angels (if you looked past the fire escape!)  Ron had a hearty laugh, a curious mind that embraced new technologies, and strong analytic skills. In the 30 years that we worked together, there was a family atmosphere within our group, and Ron had a lot to do with that.  I still remember the huge smile on his face when he showed us his beautiful, powder blue Mustang convertible! 
He loved his family, regaled us with stories of Carolyn, Sam and Robyn, and took pride in their accomplishments.  
Bill and I  send our hartfelt condolences to the family and hope you will be comforted by many good memories.

Dear Aunt Carolyn, Cousins Sam and Robyn, and your families,

I am so sorry that the winter snow storm is keeping us from attending the visitation and funeral services for Uncle Ronnie tomorrow.  Our hearts are with you all as you celebrate his memory and give him fully to Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior.  Know that Dennie, Alana, Tony, Kevin and myself are with you in spirit and will continue to be with you as you continue to journey through this difficult time.  Our prayers will sustain you.  We all have very fond memories of Uncle Ronnie and hopefully soon, can share them with you and laugh and cry together. Love to all, Connie.

I'm so Very Saddened  to hear of  Ron's  ( POPPLES)   Passing.  
I worked with Ron  for  40yrs  at AACPS.   He sure loved doing his  work  here .  I  also remember our many hrs.  of Soccer with our  Star Girl  Player  Corrine,  &  Hearing  Nick's  Music.  Ron Truly Loved & was so Very Proud of All his Family.  He will be Greatly Missed ..  Please  know  my Sincerest Thoughts  & Prayers are with All of You

Dear Aunt Carolyn, Sam and family, Robyn and family:
I have so many great memories of Uncle Ronny.  Aunt Carolyn as "Mary Poppins" and Uncle Ronny, the "chimney sweep" in the Emmitsburg Halloween parade.  In 1968 after my mother's death,  while staying with Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Ronny, he took me to a pizza parlor where I had my very first pizza.  He ordered "the works", which included anchovies.  I thought they were bugs!  We laughed all the way home.  He had the greatest smile!  He will always be remembered!  Sending love to Aunt Carolyn and all of my cousins.

I'm so sorry to hear about Ron's passing. He was a dedicated coworker and always willing to help others.

Condolences to the Welker family. I will always have fond memories of Popples with his signature side burns and truck.
