Ruth D. Mullen

Ruth D. Mullen, 90, of Annapolis, passed away peacefully, on June 6, 2016 at Brightview South River Assisted Living. She was born February 14, 1926 in Annapolis to the late Raymond and Georgette Davis. She was a 1943 graduate of Annapolis High School and later worked as a Medical Secretary for several local Urologists. Ruth loved life and traveling with her beloved husband of 47 years , Edward F. Mullen Sr. She was an avid quilter, gardener, and member of the Ladies 9 hole golf group at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Course. She was a long time member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Annapolis. Ruth was a wonderful home maker and loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward F. Mullen; brothers, John and Raymond Davis; and sister, Nancy Bassford.

She is survived by her children, Edward F. (Nancy) Mullen, Jr., Kevin P. (Lisa) Mullen, and Sharon (Phil) Wimbish, all of Annapolis; sisters, Addie Baldwin and Miriam Kirkwood; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 4-6pm at the John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis MD, 21401. A private burial service will be held on Monday.
