Ammie Lou "Lucy" Denson

The day of my departure is at hand; the privilege is mine to write this my obituary. My parents, Joseph J. and Narcissus Turley; my precious husband, Lewis; our son David Lewis; our two daughters, Deborah Edwards and LuAnn Lawrence and nine of my siblings await this my departure with open arms as I take this my final journey to my Heavenly Home. I do not know when I will receive my call to come home, I just know it will not be long and if you are reading this I will be basking in the sun light of God’s love.

I want to take the opportunity to thank my caregivers, my daughter, Laura, my granddaughter, Wendy and my grandson Rylee who have shown kindness and love to me while making preparation for this my final journey.

I have been blessed to live a long and full life, so you see this day is the one I have looked forward to for a long time. I do not know what awaits me as I cross over Jordan, however I do know God’s word says that eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither has it entered in the heart of man the beauties of the things which God hath prepared for those that love him.

I leave behind a Mothers love for my children, Laura Flynn (Bill) and Donna Lee, my grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, and my sister Daisy McDonald all of whom I adore.

My services will be at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary, 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 19, 2015 with Dr. Scott Whetstone and Rev. David Lawrence officiating. My granddaughter Sarah Lawrence and our friend Reese Newman will honor me in song. Also, a tape of the song my daughter LuAnn wrote for her dad and I on our 4th wedding anniversary will be played. My family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

I will be carried to my final resting place in Edgemont Cemetery by, Mike Tyson, Mike Wergin, Eddy Wergin, Gil Turley, Jerome Turley and Joe McDonald and two of my grandsons, Justin Edwards and Jeremy Allen.

Hallelew, hallelew, Hallelujah Ms. Lucy’s gone Home!!!!

Note from family: Her beloved spirit ascended to heaven to be with her husband Lewis on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2015, ending the greatest love story ever. Happy Valentine’s Day to both of you.
