Andrea Lynn Nance Baker (Andi) of Moody, Alabama passed away after a short illness on the morning of October 16, 2025 surrounded by devoted family. She was born in Anniston, Alabama on January 21, 1967 to Jane Seegar Nance and Thomas Edward “Sonny” Nance.
Andi was predeceased by her parents, sister Rebecca Sue Nance, her maternal grandparents Pearce and Lera Seegar; paternal grandparents Lawrence and Annie Nance, her first husband Chip Hull, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is survived by husband Robert Baker, sister Beverly Nance, nephew Nicholas Adam Nance Aunt, Gertrude Adcock, in-laws Bob and Diane Baker, brother in-law Jason Baker (Gretchen), niece and nephew Kyndal and Owen Baker, many cousins, friends, and her fur baby Bella.
Services for Andi will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 28th at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Church with pastor Bryan Williams officiating. The family will receive visitors from 1:00 PM until time of service.
Andi attended Walter Wellborn High School, graduating in 1985, where she was a proud member of the Highlander Marching Band. She then attended Gadsden State and UAB. The proudest moments of her varied employment were the nine years she spent as an EMT, working for several ambulance companies in the Birmingham area. She was an integral part of planning many of her class reunions.
Andi had a sweet spirit that drew animals and children to her. She was quick-witted, often cracking up her friends and family with her humorous observations. She was full of love and acceptance. Although she spent many years of her adult life battling a number of chronic illnesses, she did her best to be present whenever possible.
