An informal gathering of friends and family to celebrate the life of Ann Leslie Kilgore, 60, will be Saturday, October 24, 2015, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Chapel. Mrs. Kilgore passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015, at UAB medical center.
Survivors include her son, Leslie Boyd Kilgore; brothers, Elmer B. Leslie Jr. and John Cogdell Leslie; brothers-in-law, John and Tom Kilgore, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Kilgore is preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Boyd Kilgore, and parents, Elmer Sr. and Doris Leslie.
Mrs. Kilgore was a 1972 graduate of Wellborn High School and attended the Nursing Program at Ayers Community College. She was a wonderful cook and chef. She had a great passion for animal rescue and was very devoted to the cause.
