Weaver – Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Ann Broome-Rider, 66, will be Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with burial to follow at Union United Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours before service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Broome-Rider passed on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at her home in Weaver. Mrs. Broome-Rider is survived by her husband, Tony Rider; daughters, Amy (Jamie) Hall, and Traci Wilkerson; sister, Debbie (Jerry) Hanson; grandchildren, Chase Hall, Erin Bardwell, Tori Nelson, Neely Kelley, Dannee Perry, and Chloe Perry; and a special niece, Danya (John) Perry. Pallbearers will be Ricky Kelley, John Kelley, Jamie Hall, Warren Preskitt, Tim Rider, and Jimmy Buckalew. Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Rider, Chase Hall, and Jackson Rider. Mrs. Broome-Rider was proceeded in death by her mother, Margaret Broome; and brother, Danny Broome. Mrs. Broome-Rider was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. Gone from us that smiling face, the cheerful pleasant ways, the heart that won so many friends, in bygone, happy days. A life made beautiful by kindly deeds, a helping hand for others’ needs. To a beautiful life, comes a restful end, she died as she livid, everyone’s best friend.

One of the greatest people to ever have known. She was always the same person any time you saw her. She loved all her family dearly. She wanted the best for all of her granbabies. Oh how Ricky Lee Kelley and her would have long great talks. She loved him more like a son. R I P Barbara Ann !! Love ❤ you so much !! Neeley said tell nanny Jesus will take care of you!!
