Ohatchee – Funeral services for Mr. Barry William Gatlin, 59 will be Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Rest Haven Missionary Baptist Church with Bishop Billy Ray Morgan officiating with burial to follow at Eulaton Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night at Chapel Hill Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m.
Mr. Gatlin passed on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at UAB.
Mr. Gatlin is survived by his wife, JoAnn Gatlin; daughter, Anyah Gatlin; sisters, Patricia Gatlin, and Carol Richards; brother-in-laws, Don Richards, and Shawn Patrick; special uncle, Wallace Gatlin; niece, Beth (Danny) Leighber, and their children, Erin, Jacob; niece, Emily (Blaine) Miller, and their children, Emma and Will; great-nephews, Caleb, Caden, and Jackson .
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Mr. Gatlin was proceeded in death by his parents, Bill and Helen Gatlin; and niece, Leiah Watts.
Mr. Gatlin was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He was a beloved husband and father, who loved his family and touched many lives, to know him was a blessing. He was retired from AAD after 35 years, a member of Rest Haven Missionary Baptist Church.
