Betty Hurst

Weaver – Funeral service for Mrs. Betty Christine Hurst, age 85, of Weaver, Al will Be Wednesday August 3, 2011 at 2p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Marlon Greenwood officiating. Mrs. Hurst died July 31, 2011 at her residence. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. till 2 p.m. prior at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Curtis Jewel Hurst, two sons, bobby Ray Hurst and Curtis Billy Hurst, two grandchildren, Christy Hurst Dempsey and Jimmy Lamar Barker. She is survived by her daughter , Betty Jewel Conner (Greg) of Weaver and one son Roger Dale Hurst (Suzon) of Jacksonville, Al. and one sister, Evelyn Daughtery (Bob) of Lincoln, Al. seven grandchildren, William Kevin Barker (Barbara), Curtis Keith Barker (Jani), Terry Shalene Ray (Bobby), Stacy Averitt (Brad), Brett Hurst (Christina), Lasonia Newton (David), Reginia Fair (Scott), fifteen great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Hurst taught Sunday school at Oak Hill, Leatherwood, and Lloyds Chapel Baptist Church.

Pall Bearers will be Jackie Ginn, Kevin Barker, Keith Barker, Brad Averitt, Bobby Ray and Brett Hurst. Honorary pall bearer will be Gregory Conner.
