Graveside services for Betty McDonald Medders, 77, of Oxford, will be 1 pm Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5-8 pm at Gray Brown-Service. Mrs. Medders died Thursday at her residence.
Survivors include two daughters; Rhonda Jenkins (Sammy) of Oxford and Susan Cavender of Houston, TX; one son, Rodney Medders of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren, Mac Jenkins, LeAnne Pahman, Amie Jenkins, Gina Andrews, Lee Medders, Brittney Medders and Ricky Medders; seven great-grandchildren; Colton & Bentlee Pahman, Madison & Alison Jenkins, Kayla & Katie Andrews and Lauren DeLeon; one sister, Ruth Bly of Virginia Beach, VA; two brothers, William McDonald of Jacksonville and Dorsey McDonald of Oxford; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Medders is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Medders; son, Ricky Medders and parents, Cliff & Eutha Mae McDonald.
Mrs. Medders was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She was a foster parent for many years and she was Baptist by faith.
