

Funeral services for Bill W. Crowe of Oxford, will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Edgewood Church with Dr. Bill Snow, Rev. Jerry Starling and Rev. Sonny Champion officiating; burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Monday, May 6, 2013 at Edgewood Church in Anniston.
Bill W. Crowe was known to many people as Mr. Crowe or Brother Bill, but to those who knew him best he was: friend, teacher, uncle, brother, dad, and soul mate. Regardless of how you knew Bill, he was known to all as a Servant in Christ.
He achieved his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education at Central Wesleyan College, and his Master’s Degree in Music Education from Jacksonville State University.
Along with 15 faithful years as choral director at Gadsden State Community College, he led many truth-centered Sunday School classes and a lifetime of spirit-filled worship at several churches in east Alabama. Of the most recent were Union Methodist Church, Lakeview Baptist Church, St. Mark United Methodist Church, and First Baptist Church of Oxford. Many were not only blessed by his ministry in music, but have been led into the ministry by his steadfast, God-fearing example.
Bill was welcomed home to be with his Creator on Friday evening May 3, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Robin Flint Crowe; daughter, Kristian Crowe Landry (Chet); son, Kaleb Flint Crowe; mother-in-law, Patsy Flint; grandmother, Evelyn Rich; sister, Margaret Crowe Harrison (Henry); brother, Larry Crowe; brother-in-law, Roger Flint (Beverly); and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his parents Rev. Finn and Katherine Crowe; and father-in-law, Junior Flint.
Pallbearers will be Brad Crowe, Roger Flint, Matthew Flint, Michael Flint, Bobby Noah and Gary Edwards.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to his home church, Edgewood Church in Anniston, 2700 Brighton Avenue, Anniston, AL 36207.
