Billie Ruth Stewart

Funeral services for Mrs. Billie Ruth Stewart, 88, of Anniston, will be Thursday, July 6th, 2023, 12:00 p.m., at the chapel of Gray Brown Service Mortuary, with Bro Rob Turley officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family would like to welcome friends at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Stewart passed away July 1st, 2023 in Cleburne County, AL.

She is survived by her three sons, Gary W. Stewart and his wife Petie, Michael E. Stewart and his wife Sylvia, Tony R. Stewart and his wife Michelle; six grandchildren, Jason, Tonya, Kevin and his wife Rebecca, Adam and Jennifer, Joseph and his wife Leia, Brody; eight great-grandchildren, Colby, Megan Sprouse, Devon Sprouse, Taylor, Mason, Jayla, Haylee, Layla Stewart, Lucas LaPrade; two great-great grandchildren, Brayleigh Sprouse, Kennedy Sprouse; sisters, Ann Gosdin, Betty “Bet” Barker; brother, James Jones, a host of nieces and nephews, and special friends, Tommy and Mildred Munroe.

Pallbearers will be Jason Stewart, Kevin Stewart, Mason Stewart, Adam Stewart, Joseph Stewart, and Brody Stewart.

Mrs. Stewart is preceded in death by her husband Marlin Horace Stewart; parents, Mamie Ruth Barker Jones and Russell Thomas Barker; brother, “Big” Bobby Barker; sisters, Louise Smith and Mary Alice Buchannon.

Mrs. Stewart lived most of her life in Blue Mountain, AL. She was a member of Saks Baptist Church. She spent the last 7 years of her life in Cleburne County Nursing Home in Heflin, AL. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of CCNH, for all their care and kindness to our mom. They went over and above to see all of her needs and her wants. Also a special thank you to Enhabit Hospice for the great care they provided. WE THANK YOU!!!!
