Billy C Newell Jr.

Billy is survived by his sons Jeff Newell; Jeremy Newell; and Johnny Newell (Jamie); his sisters Charlotte Freeman (Jim), Vickie Newell, his brothers Jimmy Newell, Jerry Newell (Gayle), Michael Newell (Lavona) and Danny Newell; his grandchildren Brittney Holder, Charity Newell, Conner Newell, Briana Clark, Kaylie Slaton and Karley Slaton and Several nieces and nephews.

Billy was preceded in death by his wife Lucretia Newell; his parents Billy and Mary Newell; and his brother David Newell.

A visitation for Billy will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary & Crematory, 1329 Wilmer Ave, Anniston, Alabama 36201, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.

Serving as pallbearers are Danny Newell, John Newell, Johnny Newell, Jeremy Newell, Jeff Newell and Steve Norman.

Billy was a native of Calhoun County. He served in the Army in France as a cook. He loved artwork and painting. He enjoyed playing the banjo, mandolin and the guitar.
