Bodie is survived by his son Keith Pope; his son Kevin Pope; his son Frankie Pope; his son Quincy Pope; and his son Freddy Pope; his numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Bodie was preceded in death by his wife Berniece Pope; his parents James and Geneva Pope.
A visitation for Bodie will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 542 W 52nd St, Anniston, Alabama 36206, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
Bodie will be laid to rest in Union Grove, Rockrun, AL.
Bodie was a member of Homewood Acres Baptist Church for many years. He enjoyed preaching and sharing the word of God for over 40 years. He loved to spend his free time traveling or in his garden. He was also an avid fan of the show, "GunSmoke", but he was known as a family man. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be missed dearly.
