

Funeral service for Bobby H. Gidley, 78, of Saks, will be 11 am Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Leatherwood Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Owens officiating. Burial will follow at Young’s Chapel Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery in Hokes Bluff. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9 – 11 am at the church. Mr. Gidley passed away on Wednesday at RMC.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Minton Gidley, five daughters, Pat Colvin (Tommy), Deborah Hawkins (Stanley), Tammy Morris (John), Christy Mabry (Michael) and Tara Sisk Lowman (Wayne), one son, Jeremy Sisk (Gina),twelve grandchildren, Chase Waldrop, Sullivan Mabry, Sawyer Mabry, Karlie Guyther, Kelton Holley, Kynleigh Holley, Katie Sisk, Laura Sisk, Emily Sisk, Logan Haxton, Justice Haxton and Destiny Lowman.
Mr. Gidley is preceded in death by his parents, Grover M. “Bub” and Willie Mae Gidley
Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Adult Men’s Sunday School Class and all loving friends at Leatherwood Baptist Church..
Mr. Gidley was a longtime resident of Anniston. He was a member of Leatherwood Baptist Church. Mr. Gidley retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 25 years of service. He also worked as a car salesman in the Anniston area. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him.
