Bobby Franklin Howard

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Nevadell Howard.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 68 years, Ruth Howard; Daughter; Connie Lee (Al), Sons; Perry Howard (Wendi), Joey Howard (Jayne) and Kelly Howard.

Grandchildren; Melissa Curvin, Jessica Williams (Toby), Whitney Krutulis (Blake), Jeremy Howard, Michael Menchey, Ryan Menchey, Kristen Rice (Griffin), Jerrod Gaither (Lori) and Madison Howard.

Great Grandchildren; Peyton Lipham (Josh), Dayton Lee, Bailee Krutulis, Bennett Krutulis, Korbin Howard, Cash Howard, Caleb Menchey, Raylee Rice, Hunter Menchey, Emmilynn Menchey, Connor Gaither, Kensley Gaither and Karley Gaither.

Bobby retired from Anniston Army Depot in 2000 and then worked part-time at the Talladega Super Speedway as a tour bus driver. Bobby was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge and was a member of Ohatchee Methodist Church.

Bobby is known for his laid-back personality and his steadfast love for this family. He always had his arms outstretched for a hug. He also considered all his children and grandchildren "PRECIOUS" and told them every chance he could. His wife, Ruth was the "APPLE of his eye".

Bobby's favorite things were his family, cutting grass and eating sweets.

Serving as pallbearers are Jeremy Howard, Mike Howard, Blake Krutulis, Josh Lipham, Griffin Rice and Toby Williams.

Honorary pallbearers are Butch Mitchell, Shane Mitchell, Larry Lott, Andy Lott, David Bowman and Joey Roberson.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Ohatchee Fire Department P.O. Box 529 Ohatchee, Alabama 36271 and Ohatchee Methodist Church P.O. Box 151 Ohatchee, Alabama 36271.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ohatchee First Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:30 pm - 2 pm at the funeral home.
