Brett Alan "Kirby" Scott

l Home with the Rev. Dan Mattox and Minister Richard O'Conner officiating. Mr. Scott passed peacefully Thursday, June 9, 2016 at his home in Anniston. Mr. Scott is survived by his wife, Define McCary Scott; daughters, Jessica (Ashton) Barron, Ashley Tibbs Snyder and Cara Benefield; mother, JoAnn Kirby; sister, Cathy (Ricky) Rutledge; brothers, Jeff (Jean) Scott, Vance (Amy) Scott and Leslie F. (Deanna) Kirby III; grandchildren, Chrissy, Grady, Elizabeth, Bella Ross and Marilynne; nephew, Rush Rutledge (Brooklyn); niece, Haley Currier (Jason), and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Harold B. Scott; father-in-law, James McCary, and step-father, Leslie F. Kirby Jr. Mr. Scott was a native of Jacksonville and graduated from Jacksonville High School Class of 1978. He attended Jacksonville State. Mr. Scott was a natural born salesman and sold cars for many years. He never forgot a face or a name and was a great joke teller. Mr. Scott will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
