Carolyn Jean Hughes

She is survived by her three children; Jimmey Barclay Jr. (Stacey), Johnny Barclay (Mercedes), and Frankie Barclay (Tina); nineteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren; her two sisters, Barbara Bagley (Ronnie) and Sharon "Nita" Lee and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Hughes; parents, Joseph Frank McCulley and Mary Elizabeth McCulley; siblings, Paul, Paula, and Michelle McCulley, Joseph Edwin McCulley and Shirley Gayle Gable.

Mrs. Hughes was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, caregiver and friend. She was known as Nornie by all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was loved by all who knew her.

Services for Mrs. Hughes will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Anniston, AL on Thursday, December 11th starting at 3:00pm, with Rhonda Wilkerson officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service.
