Cedric A. Hamilton

Cedric was born on April 22,1962 to Johnnie V. Hamilton and Henry Smith in Oakland Ca. He was raised by his mother and step father Aldonia Hughes. He is the oldest of her 4 boys. They attended church at Faith Baptist Church in Oakland Ca. were he was baptized at a young age. He attended Castlemont and Dewey High Schools.

After a short enlistment in the US Army he met his wife and life partner Gloria Cole in December 1983. To this union they welcomed 1 daughter. Gloria already had 1 older daughter and 2 older sons. Who he loved and raised as his own.

Cedric was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandpa, uncle, cousin and friend. He was an outgoing, outspoken, funny, caring, and reliable person who was always there when you needed him. You could always count on his loving but honest advice.

He departed this life on March 18th, 2026 and left behind to cherish his memory: His wife Gloria Hamilton, 3 brothers Darryl Smith, Aldon Hughes and Dewan Hughes, and 1 sister Kathy (David) Davis, 2 daughters Antionette Cole and Jasmine Hamilton, 1 son Isreal Sept Jr, 11 grandkids and 18 great grands and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Johnnie V. Hughes, stepfather Aldonia Hughes, father Henry Smith, mother in law Ollie Hunter, son Raymond Sept, grandchild Jaquan "Adrienne" Sept and numerous other loved ones.

Memorial Service for Cedric will be held at Gray Brown Service Mortuary, 1329 Wilmer Ave. Anniston, Al. 36202, on Saturday April 18, 2026 at 11:00AM.
