Charles Eugene Fleming

Funeral service for Charles Eugene Fleming, 63 of Saks will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Rev. Al Stafford and Pastor Hank Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Fleming passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Columbus Hospice in Columbus, GA.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Barbara K. White Fleming; sons, Myron Fleming (Theresa), Daniel Fleming (Becca); daughter, Maryellen Fleming; and adopted son, Derek Jackson; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Betty Smith, Lucille Hughes, Emma Jones (Henry), Patricia Mullinax (Robin); brothers, John Fleming (Linda), William Fleming (Lisa) and Rodney Fleming; and many nieces and nephews and lots of special friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Mae E. Odell Fleming and his brother, Ernest Fleming, Jr.

Mr. Fleming retired after 20 years of military service. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.
