Charles was a boy scout as a child and grew up to lead others as a scout leader, a role he carried with pride. He served five years as a spec 5 in the United States Army as a Cryptotech, and even served in the Vietnam War with pride, a chapter of his life he spoke of with deep honor. A devoted Christian, his love for God anchored everything he did. He found great joy in music, and in the quiet of hunting and fishing, and above all in family. His grandkids and great grandkids were his greatest delight, and he never missed a chance to gather everyone together. His time of family gatherings were among those of his greatest joys, where he loved to tell jokes, and offer the kind of wisdom and advice that stayed with you long after he said it. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family requests that flowers be delivered to Gray Brown Service Mortuary, prior to the visitation at 1329 Wilmer Ave. Anniston, Al. 36201.
