Charles McNatt, 75 years old, of Oxford, AL passed away on August 11, 2024 at his daughter’s house where he has resided for the last two years.
Funeral Service will be Friday August 16, 2024, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home 12pm. Visitation will be from 11am until 12pm. Rev. Randy Hagan will be officiating. Burial to follow at Forestlawn Cemetery.
Charles was born on September 16, 1948 to Thurman McNatt and Lena Lurlene Railey in Magnoli, Arkansas. He received an Associates Degree from Kilgore College and went on to have a long successful career with the Anniston Army Depot. He retired from the Anniston Army Depot following 33 years of services as an Information Technology Specialist. He was a member of National Active and Retired Federal Employees. Following retirement he relocated back to Longview, Tx where he enjoyed his retirement spending his time visiting with family and bass fishing. Two years ago when his health took a turn for the worse, he relocated back to Weaver, Alabama to be closer to his children. He was a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church in Longview, TX and he attended First Baptist Church of DeArmanville before his retirement and relocation to Longview TX.
He married Leola Joyce McIlveene on November 15, 1972 in Enid, Oklahoma. He had three children Dyanna Jones (56) of Weaver, AL, Alex McNatt (54) of Minila, and Carl McNatt (46) of Saraland, AL. He has seven grandchildren: Christina McNatt, Angela McNatt, A.J. McNatt, Brianna McNatt, Kailey McNatt, Wesley McNatt, and Couri Queen. He had one great grandchild, Carlie Queen.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thurman McNatt, his mother Lena McNatt, and his brother James McNatt, Sr.
