Gail was born on February 8, 1940, to Edward Lawrence Jones and Eris Cockrell Jones. She grew up in the Anniston Manufacturing Mill Village and attended Anniston High School. She later attended Keevil-Curl Beauty School, where she earned her cosmetology license.
Gail began her career as a cosmetologist in 1957. Artistic, talented, and devoted to her work, she spent 43 years serving others before retiring in 2001. Her creativity extended well beyond her profession. She loved crafts, enjoyed working with her hands, and could make something beautiful from almost anything.
Gail was married to the love of her life, Robert L. “Bobby” Fulton, for 67 years. Together, they raised their two daughters and built a life centered in faith and family. Bobby, Gail, and their daughters attended Saks Baptist Church as a family, and Bobby and Gail remained faithful members until their declining health prevented them from attending.
More than anything, Gail loved her family. She found great joy in watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in all their activities and endeavors. She was always their biggest fan, offering her love, encouragement, and support every step of the way.
Gail is survived by her two daughters, Tammy Fulton Bobo and Leigh Ann Fulton Beshears (Randy); four grandchildren, Autumn Bobo Wallace (Shane), Josh Beshears (Amanda), Jessi Beshears Duval (Scott), and Allie Bobo Goggans (Jake); and her beloved great-grandchildren, Bronx Duval, Tessa Duval, Leighton Duval, Bo Briggs Goggans, Baby Sutton Goggans, and Gwyneth Beshears. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who loved her dearly.
Gail was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. “Bobby” Fulton; her parents, Edward Lawrence and Eris Cockrell Jones; and her siblings, Edward Jones, Mary Ann Pate, Claire Harper, and Clarice Joel.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Saks Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., followed by the Celebration of Life from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Gail’s nephews, the Reverend Daniel Harper and the Reverend David Harper, will officiate. A graveside service will follow.
Pallbearers will be Shane Wallace, Scott Duval, Josh Beshears, Jake Goggans, Bronx Duval, and Matthew Maniscalco.
Gail will be remembered for her creativity, her faithful heart, and the deep love she had for her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will forever treasure the memories they made with her and the comfort of knowing that Momma was always their biggest fan.
