Graveside services for Christine Williams Deason “Nanny” 86 of Anniston will be Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Edgemont Cemetery with Sandy Aids officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 at Gray Brown Service Mortuary. Mrs. Deason passed away Tuesday in Anniston.
Survivors include her son Robert W. Deason of Anniston, grandchildren: Laurie Hicks, Amberley Deason, Shila Biggs, Wes Fite and Will Deason, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Deason is preceded in death by her husband William E. Deason Sr., son William E. Deason Jr., her parents Roy and Hattie Johnson, three brothers Noele Williams, Jack Williams and Doug Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Fite, John Aids, Chris Aids, Henry Baugh Jr., James Baugh and Glenn Jones.
Mrs. Deason was a faithful servant to God. She loved her family and made sure no one went hungry. She loved to dabble in antiques. She was loved by all that knew her. She was a longtime member of McCoy United Methodist Church. Nanny will be missed by her family and a host of friends.
