Weaver - Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Mae Lovell Pettis, 85 of Weaver will be Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Griffith, Rev. Bobby Henry, and Rev. Paul Clark officiating with burial following at Forestlawn cemetery. The family will receive friends today, April 27, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pettis passed away Friday, April 25 at her home in Weaver.
Mrs. Pettis is survived by her sons, Jimmy (Donna), Larry (Cheryle), and Tony (LaDonna) Pettis; sister, Mary Lovell Whalen.
Pallbearers will be Chris Mintz, Tommy Mullins, Arlin Lovell, Hershel Pettus, Matthew Pettis, and Ben Faucett. Honorary pallbearer will be Grant Pettis.
Mrs. Pettis was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She was a member and the last founding member of Friendship First Congregational Methodist Church. Mrs. Pettis graduated from Oxford High School.
