CSM Burt Franklin Arthur III, US Army Ret. of Weaver died November 28, 2020 in his home surrounded by his wife of 13 years, Kimberly (Fitzgerald) Arthur and loved ones, he was the oldest of seven siblings.

He is survived by his wife Kimberly (Fitzgerald) Arthur; son Burt Arthur (Caroline) and Josh Arthur; daughter, Christy Nelson; son, Joe Nelson; stepdaughter, Katherine Benning (Erich), and Marcus whom he thought of as a son. Grandchildren, Nora, Liam, Jacob, Andrea, Ashley and Alexander; great-grandson Austin; siblings, John Arthur, Jack Arthur, and Dorothy (Arthur) Walker; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Burt F. Arthur Jr and Arlene (Antrim) Arthur; siblings are George Arthur Mary (Arthur) Irvine, Martha (Arthur) Robinson; his two granddaughters (twins) Claire and Sophia Arthur (daughters of Burt and Caroline).

He served in the US Army from March 20, 1968 until December 10, 1997. In that, time he served multiple tours in Vietnam and many other posts both foreign and domestic. Awarded many citations and retired Command Sergeant Major.

His smile, humor, love for family and life itself will be greatly missed.
