Memorial service for David Wayne Elder, 53 of Choccolocco will be 1:00 Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Gray Brown-Service Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Mr. Elder died Sunday at his residence.
Survivors include his daughter, Korie Gabrielle Elder Freeman of Auburn; father, Bill “Willis” Elder of Choccolocco; sister, Tepper Elder McHugh (Max) of Panama City Beach; brothers, Bill “Tony” Elder and John Elder (Laura) both of Choccolocco; nieces, Mitzi McHugh, Sarah McHugh, Shelby McHugh, Jamie McHugh and nephew, Noah Lee Elder.
Mr. Elder is preceded in death by his mother, Janie Elder and grandparents, John Robert and Tepper Kidd Elder and Henry Fredrick and Mattie Elizabeth Myers.
Mr. Elder was a craftsman, artist, enjoyed woodworking, yard sales and old movies. He was of the Baptist faith and former employee of Cooper Automation.
