David was 18 years old when he met the love of his life , Katrina. They stood by each other for 34 years until his last breath. The Lord blessed them with one child, Ryan, in 1993. David is survived by his wife-Katrina, Son; Ryan (Kelsey), grandsons; Kyler and Ryley, parents; Doug and Dorothy, brother; Dougie (Janice), sister; Donna (Ben) mother-in-law; Carol Knop, several nieces and nephews, Best Friend; Shane and Lindsey Hanson, and a multitude of friends.
David was a working man and never had idle hands. From tearing machines out of the cotton mill, to tree work, to the dealerships, to successfully building his business David King Automotive from the ground up, David never stopped working to provide for his family. David had a love for dirt track racing. He raced for several years and eventually put Ryan in a dirt car. From them having late nights at the shop, long trips on the road to various tracks, to running the roll back, David and Ryan had a father/son bond like no other. David also spent his time working on his '69 Camaro.
David had a giving heart and would give to anyone in need without expecting anything in return.
While our hearts are broken here on Earth, we are joyful to know that David is with our Lord and savior.
Pallbearers are; Ryan King, Dougie King, Dillon Crim, Jacob Scott, Mark Cotton, Shane Hanson, Tony Thompson, and Andy Meharg.
