I would go over sometime and help him change the sheets and mop the floors. His two fur babies are here for awhile.  He loved them dearly.  I would always put my ear buds in and listen to music while he watched wrestling.  I know you and your dad are rejoicing right now.  Keep eric and me in your thoughts and we will do the same. Love, aunt brenda.

Wow I got to meet David at Camp Hopewell also. What a fun loving good natured guy David always was! I believe he was at camp the first year or close to it.  Always a smile to share always wanting to make everyone around him feel good and feel joy. He spread a lot of that around the camp all the years he was there. This is how I will remember David, from his days at camp when he seemed so happy and joyful. No more pain now my friend. You can play all the basketball you want and feel good.


I am devastated to learn this sad news. I met DAVID at Camp Hopewell during my one year as a counselor. DAVID was full of life, funny and pulled no punches. I was happy to get to spend some time with him a few years ago in my home as we watched a college football game together.   I’m hopeful that he got to see Alabama whip Ole Miss this weekend. I know he would’ve loved it. He was just the same many years later as when i met him:  outspoken, funny as ever and straight shooting. I loved him and will miss him a lot. To his family,  may your fond memories comfort you in this difficult time. Godspeed dear DAVID!

David was a fun loving camper at Camp Hopewell. You could always count on him to be the one in the group cutting up.  But you just had to love him as he was always polite and engaging.  I have many fond memories of David.

Camp Hopewell was a place where everyone could be 100% themselves and still be loved unconditionally.  It was and still is a magic place. I know he will be missed and I feel lucky to have known him.  Although he has left this world, rest assured the camp family will not forget him.
