Dewey Wayne Johnson

Funeral service for Dewey Wayne Johnson, 72, of Munford, will be 2 pm Monday, at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Dr. C.O. Grindstead officiating. Burial will follow at Plum Springs Cemetery. Mr. Johnson passed away on Monday at his residence.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Carolyn Johnson, daughters, Amy Johnson and Shannon Johnson, sons, Dewey Wayne Johnson Jr, Tracy Johnson (Lacie), grandchildren, Kayla Lopez, Joseph Smith, Faith Johnson, Austin Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Mya Johnson, “Lil” Tracy Johnson and Nickolas Johnson, great-grandchildren, Madison Lopez, Isabella Cruz and Marisol Cruz, sisters, Joyce Baber and Carol Kivette.

Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his father, Agelee Johnson, mother, Euzella Johnson and grandson, Jeremy Jason Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Hulsey, Joseph Smith, Miguel Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Austin Johnson and Mia Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Johnson was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a wonderful father-in-law.
