Diane Smith

Diane is survived by daughter Cristy Hicks (Ronald); and son Jimmy Smith (Mandy); sister Joyce Pointer, sister Patsy Moss and brother Roger Hayes (Kay); grandchildren Brent Gilmore, Blake Gilmore, Tyler Howard, Blade Smith, Cameron Smith, Lynzee Hicks, Lauren Hicks, Jaylon Roszell, Brody Smith, Taner Smith, Andrea Hicks and great grandchildren Kynzlie, Cade, Addi, Reign, Crimson, Aiden, Dayton, Brylan, Mackenzie and several nieces and nephews.

Diane was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years James E. Smith; parents Curtis and Betty Hayes; brother Billy Hayes and brother Jackie Hayes.

A visitation for Diane will be held Friday, September 25, 2020 at 5:00 PM for family and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM for friends at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary & Crematory, 1329 Wilmer Ave, Anniston, Alabama 36201. A funeral services will occur Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 2:00 PM, 1329 Wilmer Ave, Anniston, Alabama 36201. A burial will occur at Oak Bowery Baptist Church Cemetery, 3300 AL HIGHWAY 144, OHATCHEE, Alabama 36271.

Serving as pallbearers are Brent Gilmore, Blake Gilmore, Blade Smith, Cameron Smith, Brody Smith, Taner Smith, Jaylon Roszell and Tyler Howard.

Diane was a longtime resident of Calhoun County. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and one of a kind that will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She loved working in the yard and was an avid gardener.
