Dolores Ruth Griffey passed on August 18, 2026, at the age of 92; she was born July 16, 1934, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and was a resident of Jacksonville, Alabama.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Carl and Lillian Desha, and her husband, Kenneth Griffey. She is also preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth Griffey (Sandy); her grandchildren; Matthew Griffey (Jeanette) and Jennifer Hayes (Michael);, and her great-grandchildren; Andrew Hayes, Joshua Hayes, and Lucas Griffey; along with several nieces and nephews.

She loved to travel and loved watching birds. She was a member of Bayside Baptist Church in Harrison, Tennessee.

She loved visiting with her children and grandchildren, whom will miss her dearly.

Graveside services for the family will be held in Harrison, Tennessee on September 12, 2026 at 12 PM.
