

Funeral services for Wayne Jinks, 72, of Anniston will be Monday, July 24, 2017 at 11:00 at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with Rev. Billy Mac Quick officiating. Burial will follow at Old Ohatchee Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 23, 2017 form 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home. Mr. Jinks passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 in Anniston. Survivors include his daughters Charlotte Wittig (Lamont), Sandra Brown; son Donald Wayne Jinks Jr; sister Elaine Capell; grandchildren Sgt. James Matthew Whitman (Larissa), Tasha Edgeworth; great grandchildren Sophia Whitman, Stella Whitman, Addysen Bowman and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Jinks is preceeded in death by his parents Archie and Dora Jinks, brothers Billy Jinks, Roy Jinks, Gerald Jinks; sisters Vivian Cooper, Catherine Bryant. Pallbearers will be Joshua Yarbrough, Christopher Yarbrough, Jerome Saffold, Kyle Lovell, Samuel Saffold Jr., buster Saffold. Mr. Jinks was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County and a member of The Church on the Rock. He was also known as Chicken Wing and Big Wayne. He was father to two but a dad to everyone. He was an avid Alabama fan with favorite quotes as Who let the Dogs Out and Roll Tide. He was loving father, grandfather and great grandfather of whom will be greatly missed.
