

Oxford - Funeral services for Donald Ray Reaves, 61, of Oxford, will be 1 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2011, at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with the Rev. Lamar McNeal and the Rev. Mike Drummond officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Reaves died Tuesday at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Reaves; one daughter, Jennifer Reaves; one son, Jonathan Reaves; his mother, Mary Reaves; one sister Myra Ann Eunice and one brother, David C. Reaves, all of Oxford; two grandchildren, Kameron Butler and Kacie Ledbetter and two nieces.Mr. Reaves is preceded in death by his father, Edward D. Reaves.
Pallbearers will be close family friends.
Mr. Reaves was a native and lifelong resident of Oxford. He retired from the Anniston Army Depot. Mr. Reaves was a Navy veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post #155, American Legion Riders and served on the executive board and was former commander of the American Legion. Mr. Reaves was a very loving, kind, sweet, generous and loved by all which knew him.
