Dorothy L. "Miss Dot" Guinn

Funeral service for Dorothy L. “Miss Dot” Guinn, 86 of Anniston will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Dr. Roy Cordle officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 pm Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Guinn died August 18, 2018 at her residence.

Survivors include her children, David Guinn, Kathy Hathorn, Gary Guinn and LaDonna McDermott (Dave); grandchildren, Amanda Hollis (Casey), Wesley Maxwell, Karen Jinks (Clark), Erin Smith (Rusty), Haley Nunn (Kyle), Hannah McDermott, Andrew McDermott (Tiffany) and Tyler McDermott (Ashley); great-grandchildren, Blakley Gilliam, Logan Mosley, Jackson Hollis, Kiley Maxwell, Blake Smith, Brody Smith, Jace Jinks, Avery Jinks and Braylin McDermott; and great-great grandchild, Emmy Lou Willingham.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Nathan L. Guinn; grandson, Jason Guinn and her granddaughter, Shannon Guinn.

Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacons of New Haven Baptist Church.

Mrs. Guinn was devoted to her service as nursery director as New Haven Baptist Church and was everyones’ Momma. She was generous to a fault, enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens and her table was filled with food for all to enjoy.
