Grandmother Dot was one of the gentlest souls I've met in my life. My fondest memories are, as a very young girl, standing on a footstool by her side at the kitchen counter while she carefully made her delicious buttermilk biscuits on Sunday mornings before church. She always involved me in the process, encouraging and thanking me, making me feel welcome and important. Dot, you were so kind from beginning to end - calmly present, always loving.
May you rest in eternal peace.
