

Funeral service for Dorothy Lewallyn Sparks, 87, of Anniston, will be 2 pm Sunday at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Rev. Henry Gibson and Rev. Virgil Bohn officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bowery Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Sparks passed away on Thursday at her residence.
Survivors include three daughters, Judy Oliver (Donald), Kim Sparks (John) and Lana Smith (Speedy), brother, Cecil Lewallyn (Kathy), nine grandchildren, Troy Smith, Chris Oliver, Traci Doss, Brigitte Bramblett, Jeremy New, Laura New, Jesse New, Heather Gregory and Haley Davis and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Sparks is preceded in death by her husband William E. Sparks, Daughter, Brenda Smith, Brothers, Ray Lewallyn and Terry Lewallyn, sisters, Quinell Williams, Margaret Webb and Willie Sue Seagle, great-grandson, Luke Brown and parents, Ira Henry and Violet Alene Lewallyn.
Pallbearers will be Chace Oliver, Branson Oliver, Logan Doss, Hunter Bramblett, Jeremy New and Jesse New..
Mrs. Sparks was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She was a member of Eulaton United Methodist Church. Mrs. Sparks was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who will be missed by all. The family would like to express a special thank you to New Beacon Hospice Care and to Amy Phillips and LaTonya.
