

Oxford – Funeral service with full Military Honors for Mr. Eastwood William “Bill” Gregory , age 73, of Oxford will be 2 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2011, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Leroy and Phillip Austin officiating. Interment will be at Halls Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Gregory passed away Friday November 4, 2011 at his residence.
Mr. Gregory is survived by his wife, Linda Gregory of Oxford; daughters, Christy Gregory Calhoun and husband Caleb, Rebecca McBride Cash of Oxford, Nita Gregory Hill and husband Rev. Eddie of Supply, NC.; sons, Michael Gregory and wife Tara of Clayton, NC., Tony McBride and wife Karen of Southside, Al, John McBride and wife Dewanna of Anniston, Al, Jimmy McBride and wife Donna of White Plains, Al, Brett McBride of Anniston, Al; sisters, Jan Gregory Henke of Fayetteville, NC, Pat Gregory Ennis and husband Wayne of Coats, NC., brother, Lee Gregory and wife Liz of Lutz, Fl.,; grandchildren, Scott McBride, Brittany McBride Saume and husband Sgt. Lawerence, Brian McBride, Brooke McBride Cheek and husband Jonathon, Cameron McBride, Chris McBride, Emily McBride, Taylor McBride, Zachary Thrasher, Daniel Hughes, Ty Eubanks, Landon Cash, Nikki Gregory, Abby Gregory, Jacob Hill, Chase Hill, Zane Hill, Bryson Hill, Cayli Calhoun Dacoda Calhoun, Brittney Dewberry and husband David, Zachary Kelly; great grandchildren, Dakota McBride, Naturro McBride, Ava Saume, Sophia Saume, Rylen McBride, Dominic Walther, Dalton Hughes, Faith Hughes, Emma Dewberry, Ethan Dewberry and several nieces and nephews
Pallbearers will be Military with honorary pallbearers being Bill Petty and Wayne Ennis
Mr. Gregory was a native of Erwin NC. And long time resident of Calhoun County, he was retired from the U.S. Army with 23 years of service in which he served 3 tours in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm, and many more medals, Mr. Gregory was also a member of the VFW, American Legion, Elks Lodge and was of the Baptist Faith. He also had worked at many of the areas car dealerships where he was known by many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Eloise Gregory and brother, Gene Gregory.
