Edna Marie Wade Pope

Anniston – Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Wade Pope, 83 of Anniston will be held Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 12 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Dr. Rick Reaves officiating with burial to follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour before service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Pope passed on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at her home in Anniston.

Mrs. Pope is survived by her sisters, Elsie Timmons, and Carolyn (Dale) Whitley; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chase Harris, Cody Harris, Steve Wade, Gordon Timmons, Sam Timmons, and Rev. Milton Harris. Honorary pallbearers will be Fidelis Sunday School Class and Edna’s caregivers.

Mrs. Pope is preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Pope; father, Otis O. Wade; mother, Jewell Hagan Wade; sisters, Betty Hall and Wynell Wade; brother, Otis G. Wade.

Mrs. Pope was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She was a former employee of G.E and retired from Imperial Reading in the Quality Control Department.

Family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church “Good Timers”, and a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice for their loving care; and care sitters, Evelyn Dutton, Brenda Haynes, Veronice Davis, and Rhonda Norton.
