

Born on February 12, 1939, in Anniston, Alabama, Edna was the daughter of Comer R. Smith and Rena J. Smith. She grew up in a close-knit family and carried the values of love, compassion, and service throughout her life.
Edna was a devoted wife to her late husband, Thomas L. Wildman. Together they built a life centered around family and shared devotion. She was a loving mother to four children: Alisa Wildman Smyth (Dwight), Amanda Wildman Mcfall (Joey), Thomas Joseph Wildman, and the late Jill E. Hogue. Her role as a mother was one she cherished deeply, always offering support and unconditional love.
Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Matthew Smyth; Lauren Copeland (Dakota); Jacob Hogue (RaeAnna); Austin Tucker (Ally); Daniel Mcfall (Shanea); Julia Mcfall; Jared Mcfall (Bailey); and Gauge Wildman. She also leaves behind several great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her later years.
Edna’s extended family includes her great niece Misty Roberts and numerous great great-nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Jill E. Hogue; sister Shirley J. Kelley; grandson Theodore J. Hogue; and niece Connie J. Hammonds.
Throughout her life, Edna was known for her generous spirit and unwavering dedication to those she loved. She had a deep desire to help others and found fulfillment in caring for both family members and those she considered family by choice. Her warmth touched many lives, creating bonds that extended far beyond bloodlines.
Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her and continue to inspire acts of kindness in her honor.
A Graveside Service will be held on January 10, 2026, at 02:00 PM at Jacksonville city cemetery Church street. Pallbearers will be Jacob Hogue, Austin Tucker, Jared Mcfall, Joey Wildman, Briley Hale and Adam Pesnell.
