Funeral service for Frank W. Bentley, 81, of Anniston will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Holley Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Turner, Rev. Gene Burns and Rev. Mike Drummond officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Lee Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday from 5-8 pm at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary. Mr. Bentley passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at RMC surrounded by his loving family.
Survivors are his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Ann Bentley; son, Danny Bentley (Kathy); granddaughter, Wendy Jones (Matthew); God Son, Reginald Caver (whom he loved as his own son); five special nephews, Rev. Mike Drummond, Jimmy Bentley, Jim Cagel, Garry Bain and Doyle Jordan; sisters-in-law, Leigh Williams, Sally Jordan, Marie Bain and Mary Johnson; brother-in-law, Bobby Thompson; and several other nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Doyle Jordan, Jim Cagel, Darrel Hamby, David Waitts, Nick Papic and Jimmy Mathis. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Bentley, Reginald Caver, Greg Borders, Richie Brooks and Rev. Mike Drummond.
Mr. Bentley was preceded in death by his parents, Rowe and Dollie Bentley; brothers, Jeffroe and Willard Bentley; sisters, Vernell Bonds, Lois Drummond and Catherine Turner.
Mr. Bentley was a life-long native of Calhoun County where he retired as a salesman of Edwards Cigar and Tobacco Company. He founded and owned Bentley’s Mobile Home Park. He was a member of Holley Springs Baptist Church in which he helped to build and was a deacon for many years.
