George Owen Turner joined his wife of 66 years in Heaven on October 23, 2025. A memorial service will be held for George at 1:00 p.m., November 1, 2025 at Grace Episcople Church in Anniston, Al. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:15 p.m. until 12:45 p.m.
George was born in Houston, Texas where he is survived by one sister; Wilma Booth (Geoff), and one brother Mike Turner (Olivia)
George and his wife, Ludy moved from Houston to Birmingham in 1959. George retired as an Engineering Supervisor in 1998. He enjoyed golfing, keeping his wife company, and always had a project going in the house or in the yard. He is survived by three children, Sharon Dawkins (Jim), Janine Turner, and Chris Turner (Tracey), 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was a great father and grandfather, and will be sorely missed
