Julia and Family - I'm so sorry for your loss. Gerald was almost related to me (long story). We went to Oxford High School and graduated together. We attended the same church and worshipped together. I will never forget how impressed I was with Gerald earlier this year when he saluted after the playing of the Marine Hymn at one of our patriotic services at the church. He was a proud veteran who served his country well. He and you will always hold a special place in my heart. I know what you are going through right now as I have been in the same position in 2007. My heart and prayers go out to each of you as you travel this road you're on. If I can be of any comfort to you; pray with you, cry with you, smile and laugh with you, please do no hesitate to call me. God's love will sustain you in these days ahead of you. May God wrap His loving arms around you all and give you an extra hug in the days ahead.

I knew G. O. when we worked at Henry Dam. I knew him as a fellow Marine and a man of faith. May God bless his wife and framily. Ellis Whitt Oxford
