

Anniston – Funeral services for Mrs. Geraldine “Dink” Turley, 69, of Anniston will be Monday, August 29, 2016 at 2 p.m. at New Cannan Baptist Church with Rev. Earl Tucker, and Rev. Burgess Austin officiating with burial to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday night from 6-8 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
Mrs. Turley passed on August 26, 2016 at her home in Anniston.
Mrs. Turley is survived by her; sisters, Lucille Turley Hulsey, Doris Turley Jinks, Deborah Turley (Norman) McClellan; brother, Danny (Shirley) Turley;; nieces and nephews, Pam Letterman, Stephanie Payne, Nancy Townsend, Jeanne Thompson, Annette Daddle, Sonja Queuro, James Jinks, Chris Jinks, Tina Hinesley, Kim McClellan Dunn, Michelle McClellan, and Shelia Butler; several great and great great nieces and nephews; step-daughter, Joy Sees; and step granddaughter, Deysi Molock.
Mrs. Turley was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Dorothy Turley; great niece, Natalie Thompson; and great nephew, Jacob Fadely.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Rochester, John Payne, Chris Letterman, and James Harrelson.
Mrs. Turley was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church. She was known as “Smiley” to all of her church family. The family wants to send a special thanks to Southern Care Hospice and Darrell LaRoy, Jamie Griffin and her caregiver, Pam Letterman.
“The touch of the master’s hand” whenever your life is out of time and no melody soothes your soul look to the master whose gentle touch will bless you and make you whole. Like an old violin with so little worth, a life maybe far less than grand, but may be transformed in a moment by the touch of the masters hand.
