Gertrude was born and raised in Randolph County until she moved to Bynum where she lived out her life. She attended Bynum Baptist Church previously until moving her membership to Parker Memorial Baptist Church were she was a longtime member. She loved and had a passion to serve in church. She served in many aspects by teaching sunday school, helped with WMU and meals on wheels and did mission trips. She was known for her work as a seamstress, and she loved to sew and make new patterns.
Mrs. Lane was a loving mother, grandmother and many other titles to those she loved. She will leave behind memories that will be treasured, and she will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Parker Memorial Baptist Church in Anniston or to Alzheimer's research.
