Gilbert "Jerome" Turley

Gilbert “Jerome” Turley, 78, of Anniston, passed away on February 7th, 2022. He battled Multiple Myeloma for many years subsequently passed away due to complications from Covid. Visitation will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home on Thursday February 10th, 2022 at 2pm. Funeral service will be held at 542 west 52nd Street, Anniston, AL on February 10th, 2022 at 3pm.

Jerome was born in Anniston, Alabama, son of the late Millard Fillmore (Bill) Turley and Elsie Lee Wade Turley on August 22, 1943. He went to high school at Anniston High School. He went on to earn a Master’s Degree from Jacksonville State University.

Jerome is survived by his wife; Betty Acker Turley, two sisters; Jo Turley McCurry (the late Ted Mc Curry) and Joy Turley Miller (Donald Miller), Children; Timothy Jerome Turley (Tammy), Michael Jeffery Turley (Gina), Amanda Narcissus Turley (Matt- deceased), Misty Kirchele Taylor (Phil), grandchildren; Kayla Minter, Derek Tate (Whitney), Brandon Turley (Lauren), Andrew Young, Kristi Turley (Michael), Kyle Cannon, Garrett Young, Caden Miller, Tyler Turley and Tanner Turley, great grandchildren; Haisley Tate, and several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
