Helen Higgins Smith

Funeral service for Helen Lee Higgins Williams Smith 85 of Anniston will be Sunday at 1:00 P.M. at Gray Brown Service Chapel with Rev. Terry Bostick officiating. Burial will follow at Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12-1 at Gray Brown Service.

Mrs. Smith went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 31, 2011 after a short illness at RMC.

Survivors include daughters Patricia Williams Hill (Terry) of Talladega, Alice Williams Waugh of Dearfield Beach Florida, one son Samuel Thomas Williams III of Anniston, grandchildren Kimberly Lee Smith, Kerry Lynn Williams, Robert Blake Williams, Terry Hill Jr., Andrea Dawn Herbster, Jennifer Leigh Williams Wernio, Christopher Waugh, Devlyn Williams, sister Lorraine Davis, special cousins/sister Sue Adams, Hilda Holland Comnillo and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her husbands Samuel Thomas Williams Jr. and William Ray Smith, a son Ray Doyle Williams, a grandchild Samuel Thomas Williams IV, a sister Louise King, and a brother Charles Ray Higgins.

Pallbearers will be Charles Ray Higgins Jr., Robbie Hurst, Phil Gardner, Jack Holland Jr., Craig Holland and Bryan Adams.

Mrs. Smith was a native of Calhoun County. She worked at 1st National Bank for many years. She was devoted Atlanta Braves Fan, Pink Lady in the ER at RMC. She was a member of the Fedelis Sunday School Class at the 1st Baptist Church of Oxford. Flowers will be accepted or donations to your favorite charity.
