OBITUARY
Henry N. Blackburn Jr.
October 29, 1923 – July 17, 2013
Henry N. Blackburn, Jr., 89, of Saks, died Wednesday, July 17, 2013, after a brief illness. Henry served in the military during World War II and returned home to marry the love of his life, Lera Marie Clark.
He is survived by his wife, Lera Clark Blackburn; two sons, Steve Blackburn and Glenn (Belinda) Blackburn; two brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Blackburn was preceded in death by his parents, Henry N. Blackburn, Sr. and Florence Jones Blackburn; one son, Larry Blackburn; three brothers and one sister.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Clark, David Blackburn, Art Watkins, Greg Jones, Lester Boiling and Tony Haynes.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Saks Baptist Church Perryman Sunday School class, and P.K. Brooks.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his memory to the Saks Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Friday, July 19, 2013 at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Rev. Daniel Harper officiating. Burial will follow at Ragan’s Chapel Cemetery in Ohatchee. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.
